A work can have several ways of being perceived: its source, rendered image, text or structure need not convey the same thing.\n\nAn artwork is an addressable original with versions, authorship claims, media, rights and links to further work. A gallery or exhibition is an independent act of curation, not ownership of its contents. Criticism, taste and recognition can differ between participants; there is no compulsory universal artistic score.
